I decided to try the "Dave Hill Look" on this portrait of BMX Olympiad Arielle Martin shot at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. Although this look is becoming over-used, I still think it works well on sharply lit sports portraits. Remember, whether you are using a fish-eye lens, the Dave Hill Look, Gaussian Blur, or any other technique, make sure it works or it will seem gimmicky.
