Got a do a cool all-nighter with the Coast Guard off of San Diego where we went searching for smugglers or anyone else doing bad things out at sea. The shoot presented its first challenge as choppy waters quickly brought my Lasagna dinner up the pipe and locked and ready to fire. I was fortunately able to hold it back. Then, I find out there was to be no lights on the ship so we could maintain a low profile and not be easily detectable. So I'm out at sea, cameras ready, just about to blow chunks, completely dark, I knew right then I was headed for a fun time. I decided to put the ole 50D through combat low-ass light training. We're talking 1 minute exposures with a hint of light from a half moon and a few small red lights on board. The camera did OK. There's some unwanted noise, but for newspaper reproduction, not too bad.

At least you didn't eat chili mac. That's the worst on rough seas.

In your posts, please tell us who your shooting for!
