Spent a strange day in Tijuana visiting different crime scenes as the city is currently in the midst of a drug cartel blood bath. There have been well over 150 murders in the last 2 weeks as members of the Arellano Felix cartel are being challenged for turf from a variety of new cartels from the South. The result are some of the most gruesome murders I've ever heard of. Hangings, dismemberment, body parts put in acid, tongues, heads, limbs, showing up on peoples doorsteps and lots more. My assignment was in part to go to this elementary school to scope out the mood of the kids where one week prior, 12 bodies greeted them as they got to school one morning. The other shot is my G rated version of a crime scene where a chopped-up body lay inside this garbage pale.
