It's always sad see family reaction when Dad or Mom head out on deployment. It's a universal emotion to see a kid in tears knowing a parent is going away for what might seem forever to a child. Heck, my daughter freaks out if I start the engine before she gets in the car. I think fear of abandonment is a natural part of youth. Probably has something to do with caveman dad heading out on a hunt or something. Let's hope this misguided War winds down so we don't have to further torture these poor little souls.
