Just plunked down a few bucks and finally joined the rest of the photographic world and bought a 50mm 1.4 lens. I was always a bit reluctant to get one because it has been used so much by many of my peers. Most of the time it adds a real nice dimensionality to an image, but I have also seen really bad photography masked with this look. Just like anything, if used sparingly it is a nice addition to any photogs arsenal.

That Wide Open Look
Just plunked down a few bucks and finally joined the rest of the photographic world and bought a 50mm 1.4 lens. Most of the time it adds a real nice dimensionality to an image, but I have also seen really bad photography masked with this look. Just like anything, if used sparingly it is a nice addition to any photogs arsenal.
