Poifect Game

That time of year again. This is my 6th year shooting the Perfect Game All-American H.S. Baseball classic here in San Diego. I keep thinking they'll eventually move to an East coast venue since they always have it here. Then again, much of the country is boiling and it's always sunny and 75 degrees. It's a pretty safe bet for everyone involved. The classic is a week long shindig where 46 of the Nation's top H.S. Junior baseball players are selected to attend(according to stats ad grades). The majority of these guys will most likely be selected in the First or Second rounds of the draft. As always, it's a little surreal seeing a group of 16 year olds who are all over 6'5" and built like a tank. Over the course of 4 days they visited a children's hospital, went to a local marine base, had practices, scrimmages, a home run derby and ended with an East West game that was played at Petco Park and was televised on CBS. It was a good chance for them to get a little taste of the big league life. Good times all around.
